From November 19 to 22, 2025, Fiera Milano – Rho hosted MIBA, the Milan International Building Alliance: a major trade hub bringing together four complementary and highly relevant exhibitions for the construction and technology sectors. The concurrent exhibitions included:
This synergy created an integrated, multidisciplinary event where companies, designers, and stakeholders could explore all dimensions of the “twin transition”: digital and energy.
MADE Expo: The Heart of Construction Innovation
MADE Expo served as the core exhibition, focusing on the world of construction. According to the official dossier, MADE Expo is divided into two main areas: Construction and Building Envelope.
The Construction hall showcased innovative construction systems, high-performance materials, energy retrofit technologies, and solutions for site management and safety.
The Building Envelope hall featured solutions for windows, façades, roofs, automation, and high-performance glass, emphasizing sustainability and occupant comfort.
MADE Expo also hosted the Festival of Light Construction (FEL), highlighting paints, coatings, insulation systems, and finishing solutions.

GEE (Global Elevator Exhibition): Vertical Mobility
GEE, also part of MIBA, focuses on vertical and horizontal mobility : elevators, escalators, and internal building transport systems. Its presence alongside MADE Expo enables meaningful interaction between building designers (architects, engineers) and mobility system providers.
GEE enriches MIBA’s vision by addressing not only building construction but also making buildings functional, accessible, and technologically integrated.

Smart Building Expo: Shaping the Intelligent City
Smart Building Expo (SBE), held from November 19 to 21, is Europe’s leading event for the digital and energy transition of buildings and cities.
The central theme is digitalization + energy efficiency, covering building automation, system integration, electrification, and EU efficiency regulations.
SBE perfectly complements MIBA by promoting green and digital transitions through workshops, conferences, and thematic areas.

Sicurezza: Protecting the Built Environment
The SICUREZZA exhibition focused on safety and fire prevention, showcasing solutions for protecting buildings and people.
As buildings become increasingly complex systems incorporating technology, energy, and data, safety is a critical pillar.
MIBA integrated this dimension to ensure design addresses aesthetics, efficiency, and resilience.

Key Highlights of the 2025 Edition
Integrated vision: MIBA allowed participants to view buildings holistically—from envelope to mobility, digital systems, and safety.
High-level networking: the simultaneous exhibitions fostered synergies among companies across different industries.
Educational content: workshops and conferences covered topics like EPBD regulations, building automation, vertical mobility, and security technologies.
Sustainability and innovation: strong focus on high-performance materials, automation, energy efficiency, and green technologies.
Media visibility: media coverage, including live broadcasts by Radio 24, highlighted the fair’s activities.

Conclusion: Why MIBA 2025 Was Important for StudioStand
For a studio like StudioStand, active in exhibition and lightweight design, MIBA 2025 was a strategic opportunity because it:
Provided a complete overview of construction and technology solutions for designing sustainable, and digitalized exhibition stands.
Offered contacts with companies operating not only in construction but also in building automation, safety, and mobility; potential partners for complex projects.
Allowed the team to stay updated on regulations, international trends, and real case studies to integrate into future projects.
