In September 2025, Bologna transformed into a living mood board for tiles, textures, and bathroom fittings. Cersaie 2025 didn't just showcase new products; but a refreshed layout as well, aimed at enhancing the experience for visiting professionals.

The Familiar Rhythm of Innovation
It offered a sense of where the industry is headed—without losing sight of how real spaces feel and function. If you've followed the show before, you'll notice a familiar rhythm: vast halls, bold surfaces, and conversations that linger long after you step away from a booth.

Four Main Trends Defining the Future
This year highlights four main trends:

THE MAGICAL JOURNEY THROUGH CERAMICS PRESENTED BY IRIS CERAMICA GROUP AT CERSAIE 2025.
CONCEPT
For Iris Ceramica Group, ceramics embody the concept of beautility, and in this sense they never cease to amaze us for their ability to blend beauty and function. Iris Ceramica Group’s vision – Reengineering ceramics for the Better – sounds like a declaration of intent that interprets ceramics, giving them a new form and greater meaning through technological innovation.
This interpretation raises the very perception of ceramics, highlighting their greatest value: ceramics are precious, like gold in human hands. Through innovation, their transformation takes on new meaning: an ancient process able to turn ceramics into gold; all in all, a symbolically alchemical process. A “magic formula” that allows this precious material to be blend in, decomposing and recomposing to “upturn” reality.
THE BOOTH: Hall 26 Booth A188-B189
The exhibition space is presented as an emblem of the entire alchemical journey Magnum Opus (Great Work). A step-by-step journey where ceramics are the means for experiencing the magical journey of transformation: a journey through experience, in three steps. The first step breaks up common perceptions - Breaking – the second is an act of purification - Glowing - and the third ultimately reveals a new reality - Revealing.
This is all made possible by the digital morphing of the visual artist Lorenza Liguori - who interprets the first two steps of the journey (Breaking and Glowing) - while the “ceramic skin”, the installations and applied technology create the unexpected space of the final step: Revealing.
This immersive experience ends with Alchimia&Iris Ceramica Group a sophisticated technology - developed specifically to be applied to the slabs of the Iris Ceramica Group brands - used to camouflage an audio-video system with the ceramic surface.

A path of alchemical transformation inside the material that turns ceramics into “gold”: a metaphor telling of the Group’s cultural approach and commitment to recognising the noble and precious value of ceramics.
The magical journey is not only a place to visit, a landscape to discover with the eyes, to get lost in, it is also a real experience that engages the visitors
At the showroom entrances, the guests pass through a “magic” portal that allows them to enter a new world where they are invited to take part in original culinary and play experiences.
Consistently with the metaphor, the guests themselves become alchemical travellers, inspired to think “outside the box”, changing their traditional point of view. *
A Comprehensive Culinary Experience
Cersaie 2025 offered a comprehensive culinary experience alongside its exhibits. The event featured a coordinated gastronomic program with 33 refreshment points and dining venues tailored for an international audience. Three premium spaces showcased renowned chefs who delivered innovative, story-driven dishes rooted in local ingredients. In addition to fine dining, attendees enjoyed casual options from street food stalls, bars, and lounges designed for quick, quality meals. The diverse offerings ensured visitors could maximize their fair experience while savoring high-quality culinary experiences.

Standout Moments and Immersive Installations
Standout moments and trends at Cersaie 2025 this year were immersive installations with lighting scenarios, textures under different angles, and practical layouts. Several brands showcased modular tile and bathroom furniture lines that can be reconfigured, evolving layouts in urban living. The "story" approach linked palettes and textures to a narrative—coastal plaster, sun-washed terracotta, or forest-floor textures—providing designers with a quick cue to set a mood in their projects.
Trends to Watch for 2025–26

The Future of Design: Bold Visuals Meet Practical Execution
Cersaie 2025 reinforced a simple truth: the best design stories come from a blend of bold visuals and practical execution. If you're planning a project, lean into textures that feel good underfoot, palettes that age gracefully, and systems that adapt as needs evolve. Keep an eye on the eco-forward options; even small choices—recycled content, low-VOC finishes, repairability—add up over time.
Some Stands of Companies that exhibited at CERSAIE 2025

This use of classical architectural elements gives the exhibit a sense of grandeur and timelessness, providing a striking backdrop for showcasing the latest ceramic tiles, porcelain slabs, and bathroom furnishings, which is the focus of the international Cersaie fair.
Looking Ahead: The Enduring Impact of Cersaie 2025
Cersaie 2025 served as more than just an exhibition; it was a profound declaration of intent for the future of surfaces and bathroom design. The prevailing narrative emphasized a harmonious blend of innovation and practicality, showcasing how cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices can coalesce into truly inspiring and functional spaces.
Once again, Cersaie proved to be an unmissable event for architects, designers, contractors and other trade professionals, offering them the opportunity to discover new trends, forge new business relationships and keep up to date in a dynamic, international setting.
