... about International Confex 2018

Confex is more than just an event, it is an ‘experience’. Visitors come for inspiration, ideas and an abundance of business opportunities, and they leave having had a fun yet productive day!

Hyundai, Santander, L’Oréal and NHS England will all be represented within the newly launched speaker line up for International Confex 2018.

The programme also features representatives from brands including IHG and Virgin Sport, with more being announced in the coming weeks.

The opening session of the day on the Keynote Theatre, will see a discussion on working with event managers and event and experiential agencies from the perspective of major brands.

Senior event, marketing and brand managers from Santander (Melissa Noakes), NHS England (Rebecca Conyers-Kelly), IHG (Louise Wilson), Hyundai (Kate Conway) and L’Oréal (Alison Williams) will all be involved in the session, which will be followed by a round table forum for further Q&A’s between agencies and clients.

A follow up session the morning of the second day will also involve major brands, this time joined by their agency colleagues in a wider discussion on ‘Value’ and how this will be measured and understood over the coming year.

Also on the Keynote Theatre will be a special session from the Eventwell campaign, sharing the movement’s learnings from 2017, its ambitions for 2018 and how event professionals can move towards better mental health and work life balance.

The theatre itself will be facilitated by Hannah Luffman, managing director, Unicorn Events, and a growing influencer in the agency world, as well as a commentator on Eventwell and vice president of ILEA UK Chapter.

The keynote theatre will also be bought to life throughout the show with a spectacular holographic line up produced in partnership with Musion.

International Confex has announced also a new addition to the Confex portfolio with the launch of Confex Future Focus that will take place on 4-5 July 2018 at Victoria Warehouse, Manchester.

Simon Farnfield, event director, explained the rationale behind the launch. He said: “The north, and north west of England in particular, is a hugely vibrant and innovative hub of the UK events industry where both corporates and agencies are producing ground-breaking and spectacular events across the globe. Event planners are undoubtedly time impoverished and those outside the south east struggle to allocate two days out of their schedules to attend International Confex in London..."

International Confex is at the forefront of the event industry and is the UK's longest standing and leading. Whether planning your next conference, exhibition, awards ceremony or meeting you will gain creative ideas to make your events more engaging and innovative.
